READING HOMEWROK

Weekly Expectations
Your child has a homework coversheet located in their TEAM Binder that outlines the weekly homework expectations. Click HERE to download a copy.

Overview:

  • Spelling Tic-Tac-Toe Activity: 3 times a week.
  • Fluency Reading Passage: 3 times a week (timed 1 minute readings)
  • FCAT Daily Reading Practice (small gold book): Goes home on Tuesdays and is expected back the next day.
  • Robust Vocabulary Words: Make Flash Cards & Write each word in a sentence.
    Students are encouraged to make or print the Vocab. flashcards (located below).
  • Read Daily for at least 15 minutes.
    Record on a booklog. Please use a regular sheet of paper as a booklog. Write down the date, author, title and pages or time read each day. Title the booklog by Month. Don't forget to put your name on it! Turn these in montly for a Pizza Hurt Reward Coupon.
